Yes you read it right. The newest cousin of PSP Phat and PSP Slim is going out of production. PSPgo was first introduced in 2009. The device does not have UMD slot because it is a digital-only Playstation Portable. 

Yesterday, the rumor spread like wildfire that the PSPgo is at the edge of production. But today the rumor was made a fact by people manufacturing the product in Japan. The reason behind is that they would like to concentrate on Sony's handheld-giant, the Next Gen Portable or NGP. 

There is no reason to be sad (for those who still wants to have their hands on the PSPgo) because the remaining stocks will still be sold to the market until it is gone.
